Enhanced safety in professional lighting technology - KLOTZ a.i.s. presents new mains multicore cable as custom solution for stage lighting - Ultra-flexible with highly flame-retardant jacket The new PCF1325C from the KLOTZ a.i.s. cable production is the perfect solution to the needs of mobile lighting technology, where stringent standards of fire protection and cable safety must be obeyed - particularly in the field of stage lighting.   The PCF1325C mains multicore cable has 13 cores, each with a cross-section of 2.5 sqmm. It is ultra-flexible and shows no corkscrew effect, remaining flat and free from internal torsion when laid out. This is achieved by using fine copper wires each with an individual diameter of 0.20mm and core stranding with ultra-short twisting lengths – a design that ensures long cable life in mobile operations. The cable has an outer jacket of ultra-flexible, highly flame-retardant PVC in compliance with the IEC 60332-3-24 standard, Category C (test for flame spread of vertically-mounted bunched wires or cables), guaranteeing outstanding durability under the toughest stage conditions. It also complies with the bending test standards of EN 50396 (30,000 cycles).   The design of the PCF1325C makes it an ideal partner for the Harting mains multicore connectors widespread in lighting technology applications – 6x mains lead with common protective ground conductor.

Qatar National Convention Centre As part of a tender for the Convention Center already under construction in the desert state of Qatar, KLOTZ a.i.s. was commissioned to supply high-quality audio cabling for this highly interesting and high-calibre project. Construction is scheduled to last two years and is under the direction and management of General Construction Company BAYTUR.  A total length of well over 30 kilometres of KLOTZ SCFR440-type cables will be used for the extensive audio installations in the Center. When the project is completed, Qatar Convention Center will serve as a central conference and congress centre and venue for concerts, exhibitions and stage performances for the entire region.

Network connection including power supply – the new KLOTZ Hybrid Cables HC51P15 & HC52P15 are the ideal connection option for today's computer-controlled components. KLOTZ a.i.s. announces the extension of its product range to include high-quality combined data/mains connection cables: the new Hybrid Cables HC51P15 and HC52P15. The flexible CAT5 data cables (one data line in the HC51P15 and two in the HC52P15) feature double screening and defined characteristic impedance of 100 ohms. They are thus ideal for all applications in network technology and Ethernet-based control systems.   The cables guarantee interference-free transmission of high data rates over long ranges, even in environments under electromagnetic influence. The new HC51P15 and HC52P15 hybrid cables now enable peripherals to be connected in a star connection via data cables and 1.5 mm² power cables, simplifying cabling and avoiding interferences caused by differing earth potentials. The hybrid cables have an outer diameter of only 15 and 16.2 mm respectively. Length restrictions for 1.5 mm² mains cables are defined by the German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE) as 60 metres: this also applies to these hybrid cables.   The new HC51P15 and HC52P15 hybrid cables are ideal for an extensive range of applications: • DMX lighting systems based on ArtNet, MA-Net or Pathport protocols • Connection of devices in digital audio networks such as A-Net, CobraNet and EtherSound • Remote PCs / laptops at events, e.g. for live recording, LAN parties

MSD Installation at De Flint Theater Amersfoort/Netherlands De Flint Theater in Amersfoort is among the best-known theatres in the Netherlands. Seating around 1,000, it is used for theatre performances, concerts and cabaret events. The decision was made to install an all-new audio system in the theatre, and KLOTZ a.i.s. was chosen as a recognized supplier of audio cabling and stagebox systems. The deal was clinched when the theatre's technical director attended ProLight + Sound 2009 in Frankfurt and gained a thoroughly positive impression of the high-quality craftsmanship and sophisticated profiles of requirements and use ("That’s the stuff we need!“) offered by KLOTZ products. After completion of the planning phase, the full scope of technical needs and specifications drawn up by De Flint Theater were implemented in the minimum time. KLOTZ products incorporated in the installation include  MSD-16 systems, patchbays and multicore systems including stage boxes.
